Alright, here is some extra summary/info about the interviews located here (http://shmuplations.com/patreonsurvey/) with outstanding votes. I will keep this thread stickied, and updated month-to-month.
Dark Wizard – various interviews from the major megadrive magazines of the time. covers the usual topics: character design, origins of the project, difficulties with the development.
Daigo Umehara and Street Fighter - long 4-part interview from famitsu. covers his past before settling into a SFIV-focused discussion.
Manami Matsumae – Composer Interview - from the sou da, game music wo kikou! book. mid-length. some questions about her musical process, followed by questions about some of her more obscure works. the motoi sakuraba interview I translated here (http://shmuplations.com/motoisakuraba/) is from the same book, if you want to get a feel for the questions.
Deathsmiles – Superplayer Interview - Not too long, part of the same "Close Up! Scorer" Arcadia series that the Dame KK (http://shmuplations.com/scorer7/) and KTL-NAL (http://shmuplations.com/scorer8/) superplayer interviews are from.
Toaplan Game Music – Composer Interviews - these are collected from a variety of liner notes. nice because they cover toaplan games that you don't hear a lot about elsewhere. Pretty lengthy: Outzone and Fixeight get a lot of space, and Fire Shark gets a whole track by track breakdown by Yuge!
Skygunner - Developer Interview - Good, mid-length interview about the design and conception of Skygunner.
Nobuya Nakazato x Toru Shimizu (Contra: Shattered Soldier) - cool conversation with the creators of the PS2 incarnations of Contra and Shinobi. decent length, they talk about action games, difficulty, how to attract new players, etc. I might supplement it with an extra design-focused interview with Nakazato that I have here.
Masanobu Endo x Shigeru Miyamoto - Hmm, I thought this was from BEEP since its 1985, but I don't seem to have it in my BEEP archive. A fun interview where both legends talk about their favorite games of 1985. Miyamoto talks about his reputation with the programmers at Nintendo, some funny comments in there.
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner Soul Hackers - very thorough, talks about changes from the previous games, themes, and even Eko Eko Azarak.
Strikers 1999 – Superplayer Interview - Also part of the Close Up! Scorer series. Good questions, but also short.
MOTHER 3 (N64) – Developer Interview - great interview about the themes of Mother 3. Philosophical musings from Itoi. Different from the other translated Mother 3 interview from Nintendo Dream.
Mushihimesama – Developer Interview - From Arcadia magazine. Not a bad interview, but feels like a coda of sorts to the other Mushihimesama and Cave interviews I've already translated.
Hiroshi Kawaguchi (game composer) - From the GSLA. Not too long, kind of miscellaneous in nature. Talks about his work AM3, a little bit of history and perspective on PSG/FM/PCM, some comments on Outrun and Space Harrier. Might be one I fold into another Hiroshi Kawaguchi interview, whichever gets selected first.
Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen – Developer Interview - Cool interviews. I've actually got two of them, one with Matsuno, and another with producer Makoto Tokugawa. Mid-length.
Shigeru Miyamoto x Yasumi Matsuno - The discussion revolves around Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, with Miyamoto adding his Mario/Zelda experience insights here and there--it was Matsuno's first time in the producer role. Some interesting comments about freedom in game design. Good length.
Developers on the Cutting Edge - These two interviews are from "The Playstation" magazine. I think the theme of this "Developers on the Cutting Edge" feature was supposed to be that Grandia and SaGa Frontier represent a "new direction" for RPGs. Good length, various design/conceptual questions for both games.
The 90s Game Music Band Boom - Some very interesting insights into early game music bands and the G.M.O. Record Label. Pretty short though--it's selected excerpts from a transcript of a live event, "Game Musician's Talk Show" in 2010. Still worth having translated, I think.
Gradius II and III – Composer Interviews - Cool interview from Gamest #3. There's questions about the Gradius III soundtrack specifically, but there's also some (less interesting) stuff about the recording process of the GII&GIII soundtracks, and the Konaim Kukeiha Club itself. If this were selected alone, I would probably supplement it by also translating the "Gradius III - Composer Interview", which is from the Gradius III OST liner notes.
Live a Live - Developer Interview - I've got a couple interviews here, from Famicom Tsuushin and Gamest, oddly enough. The usual design questions, good length.
